23 Common Street Petersham, Massachusetts 01366 978-724-3405 Petersham Veterans Honored in Library's Display Case. The Display Case at the Library has been
well used between Memorial Day

Petersham. The case contains a number of interesting objects including
photographs of several Petersham Civil War soldiers led by Captain John
Mudge; items from the Petersham Historical Society including a wooden
pincer handmade by Germain Legare when he was a Civil War prisoner in
Andersonville Prison; and several books including one by World War I
nurse and
Petersham resident Carolyn Clarke Goodsell. The display case was created in honor of former Library director and local historian Delight Haines; designed by longtime Library supporter, former trustee, and architect Andy Anderson; and built by John Sammis. |
